Let’s start at the very beginning

I am a classics major. I study Latin and Ancient Greek, and have come to the conclusion that those languages are dead for a reason. After all, there is no real word for “yes” in Latin.  And don’t even get me started on all my problems with Greek. Despite all the troubles that their languages give me, I still manage to love studying the ancient cultures, and I have wanted to be an archaeologist since I was a child.

At the moment, archaeology and study of ancient cultures is a big part of my life, by which I mean I can’t get away from it. I’m not really sure what my plans are for this blog, but I know I will be talking about archaeology and the Classics a lot.

I’ve never tried anything like this before, and I’m not sure how well it will work. I can’t promise frequent updates, but I can promise that I will try. This is my senior year, I’ll be busy. At the same time, I’m going to need someone to talk to, some way to get my thoughts down and muddle through everything, and that may end up being this blog. So, don’t expect anything special, because you’re just going to get me.
